Written in collaboration with Boston’s Children’s Hospital, Curious George Goes to the Hospital (Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1966) was the 7th in the enormously popular series written and illustrated by Margret and H.A. Rey. In it, George swallows a piece of a jigsaw puzzle and has to go to the hospital to have it removed…with predictably riotous results. This first edition (with the copyright date on both the title and copyright pages) is in VG+ condition with just a bit of exterior soiling. The dust jacket has lost a bit of type on the lower inside flap but is otherwise Fine and complete. A scarce book, especially in dj.
