It’s hard to categorize Peter Sis’ account of his father’s astonishing journey to Tibet, Tibet: Through the Red Box. Is it family history, biography, fantasy, non-fiction…or a combination of them all? Filled with gorgeous art, selections from his father’s journals, childhood reminiscences, and mature reflections, I’d be hard pressed to quantify this as a children’s book, though older kids and adults will find this a remarkable read. Recipient of a Caldecott Honor in 1999, this first edition is in Fine condition in a Fine dust jacket.
