Uri Shulevitz was awarded the Caldecott Medal in 1969 for The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship, but his Snow (a Caldecott Honor Book for 1999) is probably better known and loved. Despite the efforts of various town members to downplay the appearance of the first few snowflakes, a young boy’s wishes for a snowstorm are realized in beautiful full-color illustrations. Surprisingly scarce in first edition, this copy of Snow is in Fine condition in a Fine dust jacket.
