One of the best-known poems in the (US) English language, Thayer's Casey at the Bat gets the royal treatment in this 2001 Caldecott Honor Book. Imagined as an old-time newspaper cum scrapbook by illustrator Christopher Bing, the double-page spreads are supplemented with news clippings, catalog pages, baseball cards, currency and other 19th century ephemera.
