Czech architect and artist Vojtech Kubasta created 12 “Panascopic Model Books” that are often pointed to as the finest pop-ups published in the mid-century. Each has a striking full-color cover plus a number of pages of tightly packed, boring text, and is saved bu a spectacular pop-up cleverly hidden within the back boards. The Voyage of Marco Polo is one of these, a first printing in Fine condition. Also included is the plastic bag (ripped, unfortunately, on one side), the original header card and an insert picturing and naming each of the Panascopic books in the series.
