As always, Iā€™m going to try to avoid questioning whether The Story of Little Black Sambo is racist (the story is somewhat so, the illustrations are without question), but this edition with four animated plates by Kurt Wiese is among the rarest and most elaborate ever published. Ingeniously activated by rivets and an unseen tab on the back of each plate, this first edition is in remarkably Fine condition. Adding to its scarcity is the almost impossible to find dust jacket in VG condition with folds and wear, but complete.
