Blue Ribbon Books of NY (later, Pleasure Books of Chicago) were the first to trademark the name “Pop-Up” and published a remarkable series of volumes during the 1930’s. Most featured only three pop-ups, but the earlier and larger Blue Ribbon books featured four. The “Pop-Up” Pinocchio has both black and white illustrations and four full-color pop-up illustrations by Harold Lentz, a master of the field. In About Fine condition with a discretely strengthened spine (a weak point on nearly all copies).
