Published in…and with a title that reflects…Czechoslovakia’s capital city, Praga Mater Urbium is written entirely in French and includes a series of folk tales including (my French is just barely better than my Czech) Brave Suzanne, The King’s Magician, The Golem, The House of Faust, and two others. These are colorful pop-ups, reminiscent of Kubasta’s less complicated renderings, and in Fine condition.
