Pleasure Books published a series of wonderful and very collectible pop-ups in the mid-’30’s featuring some of the most popular screen and comic figures of the day (Flash Gorden, Little Orphan Annie, Tarzan, and so on). Dick Tracy: The Capture of Boris Arson features black and white illustrations by Chester Gould plus three wonderful full color pop-ups, one inside the front boards, another in the middle of the book, and a third inside the back covers. In VG+ condition with just a tiny bit of exterior wear, an owner’s name writ small on the back covers and a corrected bend on one figure in the middle pop-up. Happily, the days of the Dick Tracy wrist telephone have finally arrived!
