Vernon Grant, the principal artist here was…of course…the originator of Kellogg’s elves Snap, Crackle, and Pop as well as the author/illustrator of sought-after books such as Tinker Tim and Mr. Mixie Dough. Over the past thirty years, I’ve learned to avoid phrases like “this is the only copy available,” but I cannot find another reference to Bilda-Zoo anywhere. With a combination of regular paper and heavy cardboard pages, this utilizes Grant’s amazing illustrations and Eisner’s paper sculpting skills to create an entire make-it-yourself zoo featuring a hippo, lion, kangaroo, zebra, elephant, and more. Completely intact and never used; in About Fine condition with the final page just starting to loosen from the spiral binding.
