Julian Wehr’s movable books of the 1940’s and ‘50’s have much in common with Lothar Meggendorfer’s books of the previous century: one tab activates multiple motions in the illustration. Animated Nursery Tales is one of Wehr’s scarcer books and features six animated plates (plus multiple limited color illustrations) about the Three Little Kittens, Three Bears, and Three Little Pigs.
