This original 22-1/2 x 20” poster was created upon publication of the book Nutcracker (NY: Crown), by Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are, In the Night Kitchen, Charlotte and the White Horse) in 1984. Sendak adapted E.T.A. Hoffman’s original story (and the subsequent ballet) to create a magnificent depiction of the famous Christmas tale. The poster features the famed Nutcracker and attendant mice and a glorious Christmas tree, all in Very Fine condition.
