This original 11 x 16-1/2” poster, Work in Stoppage, announces an exhibit of “Drawings, Books, etc” by Edward Gorey (The Hapless Child, The Loathsome Couple, The Gashlycrumb Tinies, and many more) to be held at the Sturgis Library in Barnstable, Massachusetts from August 10 through September 8, 1981. In typical Gorey fashion, one cat dumps an apparently empty basket into a hulking machine while another cat holds a second empty receptacle at the other end. A rare Gorey poster in Fine condition.
