This large (18 x 24”) color poster was created upon publication of the book Shadow (NY: Scribner’s), by Blaise Cendrars and illustrated by Marcia Brown. The book received the Caldecott Medal in 1983 and joined Brown’s other Caldecott-winning titles, Cinderella (NY: Scribner’s) in 1955 and Once a Mouse (NY: Scribner’s) in 1962. Signed by Marcia Brown in ink, this poster is in Fine condition and features a bold African motif.
