Long before Goodnight Moon (1947), Clement Hurd was illustrating remarkable children's books. Town is an incredibly scarce panorama book with fifteen panels extending nearly nine feet when completely opened. Published by the creative firm of W.R. Scott, this pictures a running view of a town's activities: policemen and traffic, playing with pets, climbing a tree in the park, a milkman delivering milk, and more. In VG+ condition with a few light scratches to the front cover.
