What a wonderful piece of ephemera! Each year, attendees at the annual dinner celebrating the Newbery and Caldecott Awards recipients received a program for the evening. This is the program for the 1979 awards, honoring Paul Goble for The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses (Caldecott) and Ellen Raskin for The Westing Game (Newbery). In addition to the program itself in Fine condition is an insert: a $1,000 Westing Game certificate emblazoned with Uncle Sam on the front and the awards dinner info on the back.
