One of Hyman's very best illustrated works, Snow White is freely translated from the Grimm Brothers' German and features magnificent full color pictures throughout. This is not the Disney-fied version of the story, but much darker and more violent. The wicked queen's gruesome death at the conclusion is both fitting and the stuff of nightmares. A first edition in VG+ condition (with a previous owner's name and brief, neat inscription on the front endpaper) in a Fine dust jacket.
