Among the scarcest of Sendak's early titles, I Want to Paint My Bathroom Blue was published in two formats, a retail edition priced at $2.50 and a library edition priced at $3.25. Offered here is a very nice copy of the library edition (boldly identified as such on the front of the dust jacket) that never found its way into a library. Ruth Krauss' poetic text describes a young boys wish to paint his bathroom blue (nixed by his Dad) and further descriptions of the kind of house he'd build if he had his druthers. A first edition in VG+ condition in a VG dust jacket.
