So it appears that even the esteemed Ludwig Bemelmans, the creator of Madeline, was not above shilling for a tv company. A Tale of Two Glimps, created at the behest of the Columbia Broadcasting System, is the story of two creatures, one who must live his life with only a black and white television and more fortunate other whose world expands through you use of a color tv. Curiously, this first edition lacks a copyright date but various references place it as 1947 or 1948. Was color television invented that early? I don't remember even seeing it until the later 1960's. In VG+ condition with just a trace of wear to the head and tail of the spine.
