Part of the fun of collecting Little Golden Books is to find complete copies of books that by all rights should have been colored in, cut up, had stamps affixed in, or puzzles detached from (depending upon their special features) long ago. Betsy McCall: A Paper Doll Book (#559), written by Selma Robinson and illustrated by Ginnie Hofmann, features a frontispiece of two paper dolls to be cut out plus a short story and page after page of clothes and accessories. In VG+ condition; complete but with one doll (Cousin Sandy) partially cut from the bottom of the page to his elbow. Neatly repaired on the verso with archival tape.
