Long before Curious George, H.A. Rey was creating funny books for children (and adults!). Zebrology straddles that line, with a wordless explanation of how zebras came to be. Over several generations, a white horse and a black horse create offspring that eventually result in striped descendants. Slightly risqué (a written inscription on the back cover reads, "This will appeal to Lydia or I hope it will. I feel she will understand it.") In VG+ condition with the original red string tie. Undated, but 1937 (a full 4 years prior to Curious George) and H.A. Rey's first book in English.
