We’re living in a remarkable age of paper engineering and pop-up books and David A. Carter is among the biggest names in the field. While Sabuda and Reinhart and others tend to create publications that tell a story, Carter’s very best efforts are really art books, filled with imaginative creations that spur the imagination. Yellow Square (NY: Little Simon, 2008) features dazzling constructions, each with a hidden yellow square. Signed by Carter on the first page and in About Fine condition, with a teeny tiny split at the tail of the rear spine.
