Originally written and published with her own illustrations by Dorothy Kunhardt in 1935, Lucky Mrs. Ticklefeather (#122) didn't really find its audience until it was illustrated by J.P. Miller and issued as a Little Golden Book in 1951. Mrs. Ticklefeather is a little old lady who lives in a tall skyscraper with her pet puffin named Paul. When Mrs. Ticklefeather pines for a sunflower, Paul disappears, eliciting a police search for the missing bird. One of the most popular LGB's ever written, this is a first edition (A) in Near Fine condition with just a bit of paper loss to the bottom front cover corner.
