The Streamlined Pig was Margaret Wise Brown's second book (or third or fourth; 2 other of her titles were published in 1938). Regardless, it is a terrific tale, issued by Harper & Bros. and illustrated by the illustrious Kurt Wiese (The Story About Ping). After a father purchases a farm for his young son (!), everything goes smoothly until an endless rain causes flooding and the animals (including the boy's favorite pig) have to be rescued by airplanes and zeppelins. A real rarity for MWB collectors, this stated first edition is in About Fine condition in a VG+ dust jacket.
