Tales from the Ballet is a Giant Golden Book (measuring 10-1/2 x 12"), featuring striking illustrations in full color by Alice and Martin Provensen. Louis Untermeyer selected and wrote adaptations of 20 ballets, both famous (Swan Lake, Petrouchka, The Nutcracker) and less so (The Phantom of the Rose, The Wood Nymphs, Graduation Ball). In Fine condition in a Fine price-clipped dust jacket (which does not duplicate the illustrated boards). A wonderful introduction to classic dance.
