During the latter part of the 19th century, two of the most popular subjects for children’s books were ABC’s and Nursery Rhymes. Here, we have a clever combination of the two with each of the twenty four chromo illustrations depicting a popular rhyme for kids including objects that start with the letter. Inside the front and rear covers is a key with each of the nursery rhymes identiefied, so this can be used as a game with the children guessing the items from the pictures and the adult reading them from the keys.
