This limited (number 16 of 350 copies), slipcased, and signed (by both Sendak and editor Iona Opie) classic collection of children’s rhymes covers astonishing ground. Included are such categories as “Insults,” “Teasing and Repartee,” “Book Desecration,” “Mock Scholarship,” and “Contempt” as well as more expected subjects. Enlivened by Sendak’s full-color illustrations on almost every page, this Deluxe edition is in Very Fine condition, even wrapped in the original paper envelope (opened only for pictures) with a limitation label.
