May Gibbs created a distinctly Australian folklore with her Gumnut Babies, mischievous little beings who live among the Gumtree leaves. One of that continent’s most established and popular author/illustrators for children, Gibbs published numerous subsequent books about the Gum-nuts. This first edition is complete with dreamy text and full color and line drawings and in VG condition with a pull and color loss on the front paste-on and some general wear.
