Little Golden Books was among the first children's series to introduce new commercial products as part of their storylines. Doctor Dan the Bandage Man (#111), written by Helen Gaspard and illustrated by Corinne Malvern, features a title page complete with six Band-Aid plastic bandages. Published in coordination with Johnson & Johnson. Dan is an active young boy and his Mom fixes his scrapes and cuts with band-aids. It isn't long before Dan starts healing cuts for his cat and dog, sister Carly, and even his Dad. Almost impossible to find in original condition, this copy is a first edition (A) In About Fine condition (a magic marker spot on the title page); complete and unused.
