Among the best-realized “modern” ABC’s, Bruno Munari’s ABC is another gem from the Italian futurist. Each page features large, colorful examples of the letter illustrated. Additionally, (as was typical with Munari) a continuing theme throughout is a small fly that buzzes through the book, appearing at various intervals and adding to the fun. Munari was a noted painter, sculptor, photographer and designer of remarkable books for children (one of which is included in the illustration on the B page). This is a first edition in Fine condition in a VG+ dj (with small chips at the head and tail of spine and a light red mark at the bottom of the front cover).
