Prompted by parents' suggestions that they didn't have enough time to read and re-read favorite Little Golden Books, Simon and Schuster launched a series of Little Golden Records in 1948. Each of the twelve original 78rpm titles came in a colorful sleeve and usually included an orchestral number on the flip side of the Golden Book performance. Little Pee Wee (Little Golden Record #9) was originally written by Dorothy Kunhardt and illustrated by J.P. Miller (who supplies the sleeve art) and is here performed by Ireene Wicker, the Singing Lady, and Mitchell Miller (later of "Sing Along with Mitch" fame) and his orchestra. The flip side features Mozart's Turkish March. In VG+ condition.
