Tomi Ungerer is a unique and controversial figure in contemporary kid lit (if you're not familiar with his life and work, hunt up the recent documentary, Far Out Isn't Far Enough: the Tomi Ungerer Story). With a bold drawing style and  dark, if moralistic, storyline, his Zeralda's Ogre is a terrific example of Ungerer's work for children. A horrible ogre's favorite meal is a young child, but Zeralda's life is spared when she prepares gourmet meals for him. Not your standard fairy tale. A scarce first edition in Fine condition in dust jacket.
