Ernst Nister of London distributed its titles in the States through the New York firm of E.P. Dutton. Wonderland Pictures features six circular plates activated by silk ties. When pulled, a chromolithographic picture transforms itself into a kaleidoscopic image. A psychedelic experience to the modern eye, such images were familiar to 19th century children from the optical toys that graced many homes. In generally VG+ condition, but lacking the front endpaper and with a previous owner's name written on the title page. All movables in perfect working order.
