Norman Rockwell was an American original and better known for his Saturday Evening Post covers than for children's books. But here he breaks rank and illustrates a fable by his wife, Molly, about a young bird who has to "do his own thing." Written in the late '60's (when many young people were attempting to do the same), this can be read on several levels and Rockwell's full color and black and white illustrations add a lot to a gentle tale. In Fine condition in a VG dust jacket (with a few small tears and chips).
