Caldecott-winner (for Fables) Lobel has lots of fun mixing up pigs and limericks. Like Lear, the author/illustrator includes plenty of place names in his rhymes, and it's fun seeing who's been included ("There was a young pig from Nantucket..."). Poems also include Key West, Glens Falls, Schenectady, Duluth, Fort Wayne, Decatur, Spokane, Savannah, and many many more (alas, no Cleveland!). This is Lobel at the peak of his mature style (he died in 1987) and rollicking good fun. Fine in a Fine dust jacket.
