Ramona Quimby, of course, is Beverly Cleary's creation and one of the most popular characters in recent children's literature. In the 1978 Newbery Honor book, Ramona and her Father, Mr. Quimby has lost his job and seven-year-old Ramona does what she can to earn money for the family and encourage her father. Filled with humor (and some sadness), this provides comfort and understanding and hope for young readers who might find themselves in a similar situation. A first edition in Fine condition in an About Fine dust jacket.
