Based on a 19th century cautionary tale by German author Theodor Storm, Little Hobbit is illustrated by the Hans Christian Andersen Medal-winner, Elizabeth Zwerger. Little Hobbit likes nothing better than being wheeled around the room by his mother. But when Mother gets tired and falls asleep, the child fashions a sail out of his nightshirt and sets off into the sky on an adventure.  Zwerger's full color illustrations match the storyteller's dreamy style. A first edition in English (translated by Anthea Bell) and Fine in a Fine dust jacket.
