A creative leap in children's books, Leo Lionni's Little Blue and Little Yellow tells the simple story of a blue spot and a yellow spot who are best friends. When they hug each other, they turn green and go on a day's adventures, but when they return home, their parents don't recognize them.  Told entirely through simple abstract illustrations, this is the point where children's literature and art merge. In About Fine condition (a previous owner's name and date are written on the endpaper) in a VG- dust jacket with chips at the head and tail of spine. A first edition based on dust jacket price and no indication of further printings. A real rarity.
