King Winter is a very rare 19th century shape book from Gustav W. Seitz of Hamburg, Germany. A mother tells her children the story of King Winter (who's an awful lot like Santa Claus, bringing presents to good children and the rod to bad ones) and his sidekick, Jack Frost. Together, they decorate the landscape with snow and ice before returning to the North at season's end. Illustrated with color pictures at the top and bottom of each page. In About Fine condition with a child's pencil drawing (easily erased, but I like that sort of thing) on the inside blank back cover.
