Was there ever anything like Potter-mania? By the time J.K. Rowling published the third volume in the series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, there was no doubt that she had a mega-hit on her hands, but her publisher was still sending out Advance Review Copies (also called Advance Reader's Edition) to bookstores and reviewers. The fever (and attendant secrecy) had risen so high by the release of the fourth volume that Scholastic ceased to send out advance copies. Published in much, MUCH smaller numbers than the trade edition, these ARCs are getting harder and harder to find and more and more collectible. In About Fine condition and never read, this is a highpoint of any H.P. collection.
