Goldilocks and the Three Bears is part of the Peepshow Book series, begun in London in 1947 and picked up in the States by Houghton Mifflin about five years later. There were four books in the original series including Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and Cinderella, but two seem to be considerably scarcer and more desirable: Orlando's Country Peepshow and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The peepshow format is also referred to as a carousel book, a series of three-dimensional scenes that can be secured with strings, cover to cover, and arranged to form a circle. Four full color scenes illustrated by Patricia Turner in Fine condition.
