“When you go owling, you don’t need words or warm or anything but hope.” On a crisp winter night a father leads his daughter through the moonlit woods in search of the Great Horned Owl. Schoenherr’s remarkable illustrations capture the night, the cold, the search, and the bond between father and daughter. Owl Moon won the Caldecott Medal in 1988 and this first edition, first printing is in About Fine condition as is its dust jacket. The only flaw is a blue sticker placed on top of the copyright info by a previous owner. Why? Who knows.
