Isaac Bashevis Singer was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1978. His 18 novels and 14 children’s books primarily reflected the world of East European Jewry and incorporated many aspects of traditional folk tales in their telling. Naftali the Storyteller and His Horse, Sus is a collection of nine stories, three of which take place in Chelm, the city of fools, and each is illustrated on the title page in black and white line by Margo Zemach. A first edition, first printing in Fine condition in an About Fine price-clipped dj and signed by Singer on the front endpaper.
